Athens Landscape Group will send a landscape architect or designer to your home for a customized design. We'll interview you to determine your needs and preferences, assess the strengths and weaknesses of your current landscape and design a landscape solution. This solution is prepared in our design studio and presented to you in the form of a color concept drawing and a detailed itemization of the labor and material necessary to complete the job. To move the project to the next "install" phase, you sign the contract and return it with the initial payment, normally half of the quoted installation price. Once the contract and payment are received, you are scheduled for the installation.
If a xeriscape is being installed, we first look at existing irrigation. If there is no irrigation system, we may install one. If there is no and will be no irrigation in the landscape, plants are not grouped into water use zones. If there is or will be irrigation, plants will be divided into low, medium, and high water use zones. This is to minimize water waste. Drought tolerant plants are then selected to fit the space and needs of each part of the landscape.
