Installation scheduling varies depending on the time of season and plant availability. Athens Landscape Group takes care of notifying the utilities for marking the property, schedules the delivery of materials and uses our own experienced labor to complete the job. Once the job is completed, we will check with you to be sure it is satisfactory and give you the final bill.

Hardscape items such as decks, retaining walls, brick or stone patios are installed before any plants. These are the foundations of any landscape, and often require heavy equipment, so they are taken care of first. Irrigation is installed next, if required. Large planting materials are installed before any other plants (unless it is a summer installation, in which case the field-dug trees will be postponed until cooler fall weather). Holes are dug to just under the depth of the root ball. Soil amendments are no longer recommended, so the same soil that came out of the hole will go back in. Accent lighting is installed last, if required.
